3.6 Fluid management? Investing in water through Cohesion Policy

24 May - 09.30 - 11.00

Cohesion policy is the EU instrument for diminishing the economic gap between different regions. In the current programming period (2007-2013), some € 22 billion will be invested through the policy in water management at EU level. From waste water treatment plants to water supply and water efficiency projects, these funds represent significant support for regions and cities in preserving water quality and resources. This session will present some of the success stories and good practices that have emerged in recent years, asking – how can implementation be improved for the challenges of the next funding period?
