Reform der Gemeinsamen Agrarpolitik (GAP) -- Wo bleibt der Gewässerschutz?

From 09 May 2012, 09:30 to 09 May 2012, 17:00

Hamburg - Germany

Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and water management - Impacts from the agriculture remain one of the major causes of the non-achievement of the environmental goals of the Water Framework Directive. The environmental performance of agriculture is in large parts detemined by the CAP and correlating policies on the federal and state levels. What changes can be expected from the ongoing reform of the CAP? What options will the federal states (Bundeslaender) have to make water protection and sustainable management of water courses, lakes and wetlands operational in agri-environmental programmes? Discussion of experiences from the current funding period and recommendations for programming under the new CAP.
