Tanja Cegnar holds a postgraduate degree from the
University
of
Ljubljana
, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Meteorology. She did a specialization in climatology, human biometeorology and has got media skills.
In the past, she was a member of the WMO CCl expert team on
heat health watch warning systems and the president of the Slovenian Meteorological Society until 2005.
Today, she is a member of the national representative of COST 730 EU
and of the International Biometeorological Society. She also
chairs the Media Committee within the European Meteorological Society and
is a member of the WMO CCl expert team on Climate and Tourism.
