Mr. Matti Eerikäinen, Meteorologist - Channel four Finland
Matti Eerikäinen graduated from high school in 2001 and after mandatory military service,
he began studying at the Division of Atmospheric Sciences
at the
University
of
Helsinki
.
His interest in meteorology began in high school, where he mainly focused on physics and mathematics. He has been also always interested in geography and nature, so studying meteorology was quite a natural continuation after high school.
On completing his studies, he began working as a meteorologist in the Finnish Meteorological Institute in autumn 2005. He worked in the customer service department
whose main tasks involved weather forecasts for media.
In December 2005 he also started working at Channel Four Finland as a TV meteorologist.
