Ditte Falkenberg Ms.  Ditte Falkenberg, Weather presenter and meteorologist - TV2

Ditte Falkenberg has been working with weather forecasting for more than 5 years. In 2001, she completed her education as a meteorologist at the University of Copenhagen

She has worked with weather information in a variety of ways that including work at the private weather centre in Denmark and teaching.

Now she works at one of the biggest TV channels in Denmark (TV2). The station broadcasts roughly 35 live weather forecasts a day to its viewers. TV2-weather not only produces weather forecasts, but also makes features explaining different weather phenomena.

Peter Tanev has a bachelor's degree in climatology and has been working with weather forecasting for more than 13 years. He works at one of the biggest TV channels in Denmark (TV2). The station broadcasts roughly 35 live weather forecasts a day and also carries features to explain different weather phenomena to its viewers.

Jesper Theilgaard completed his education as an aeronautical meteorologist in 1978.

After 12 years of providing weather information to pilots at Copenhagen Airport , Jesper Theilgaard moved on to the Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI). At the DMI, a major part of his work was linked to Danish Television on the night weather shows. In addition, he was responsible for developing the weather routing service for ships around the world. In 2002, he left the DMI for the Danish National TV and has recently been appointed as climate expert for the News.

In 1992, he published the first of 20 books on weather issues. The latest two are coffee-table books about Danish weather and the world’s wildest weather (see book-list).

In addition to publishing books about issues related to the weather, he gives numerous talks around the country regarding cultural, historical and scientific topics related to the weather. He also gives courses on climatic change for governmental offices as well as for the private sector.

"I have decided to join this Network because fighting climate change is the greatest challenge the world is facing today - far more complicated than the financial crisis. Within the network I have access to information and can discuss this issue with colleagues from other countries. My own contribution is via my TV-shows, books and articles, and speeches that I give in public and private forums, as well as by debating in various conferences."
