Ms.  Tatana Mikova, Weather presenter and meteorologist - CT1

Tatana Mikova studied at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University of Prague in 1983-1988. After graduating, she worked as a climatologist at the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute for 5 years.

Since 1994, Tatana Mikova has been the weather presenter of the Czech Television, the only public TV in the Czech Republic . In 2005, she was appointed head of the weather desk of the Czech Television. She is a member of the team creating the first digital news TV channel in the Czech Republic (CT24).

In 1999, she started cooperation with the National Climate Programme of the Czech Republic. Between 2003 and 2006, Tatana Mikova worked as a member of the editorial team of the Climate Atlas of Czechia.

Why did I join the CBN-E network?
"As a weather presenter with both meteorological and climatological roots, I made it a personal duty to share the results of Earth’s climate monitoring, climate research and their connection to our everyday life with as many people as possible. It is mainly by being well informed that people are able to care about our climate and nature. The daily World Weather Review and the educational series I prepare for the Czech Television, as well as live meetings with the general public and especially children seem to be an excellent opportunity to achieve my goals. The network is a great basis for improvement and finding new ideas!"
