DG Environment has launched an open call for tender on the
review of RAINS model. The terms of reference of the assignment
were drafted in close cooperation with the UN
ECE secretariat of the Convention of Long Range Transboundary
Air Pollution as well as other users of the RAINS
model. The terms of reference are available in in English,
French and German:

DG Environment has contracted a consortium - the RAINS review
team, led by the Swedish Environmental Research Institute
- to perform the review of the RAINS model from a scientific
perspective. The major tasks to performed were outlined in
the technical annex of the contract

The draft final
report (pdf~300K) has
recently been submitted by the review team.
The CAFE programme now invites you to contibute with views
and further considerations on the RAINS review report. Your
views and considerations on the report should be related to
the task of the contract, namely to review the RAINS model
from a scientific perspective. The CAFE programme and the
RAINS review team will consider this additional information
in the finalisation of the RAINS review.

your views and considerations is the 6th September.
