| A service
contract has been launched by DG ENV in order to prepare the
review of the NEC Directive (2001/81/EC). The objective of
this assignment is to assist the European Commission in the
preparation of this review. The following tasks will be undertaken
by the contractor:
* Task 1: In-depth analysis of the NEC national programmes;
* Task 2: Analysis of the feasibility and opportunity of
emission ceilings for particulate matter and methane;
* Task 3: Provision of the first draft of the NEC review
report and recommendations for further legislation and for
the thematic strategy; and,
* Task 4: Stakeholder consultation
