In order to review air pollution effects on health, the Commission
and the WHO Regional Office
for Europe performed a project called
"Systematic review of health aspects of air quality in Europe".
The review gives answers to policy relevant health questions formulated by the
Commission in consultation with European stakeholders in the CAFE Steering Group.
In addition to these reports the Joint task force of the
UNECE and WHO Task Force on Health has given important advice to the health impact assessment
performed with integrated assessment models. The reports of the Task Force meeetings to the
Convention Working group on effects with most relevance for the CAFE program are
2003,
2004
and 2005 (to appear soon).
