IPTS (JRC) in association with DG Environment launched a
service contract on emerging technologies in industry. The
main objective of this contract is to identify and describe
the most promising emerging technologies (currently at
demonstration or pilot plant scale) within the industrial
sector. The project will also aim to evaluate the
potential impact of the implementation of these technologies
on the air emissions coming from this sector (potential
reduction of air emissions) through the development of
different scenarios.
The kick-off meeting was held in Brussels in
December 2003. An interim report is

An expert workshop has been organised in Brussels on the 28 and 29th of June
in Brussels in order to present and discuss the main interim results of this
contract.
