Adventitious presence of GMOs in conventional seeds and coexistence

Seed legislation

The seeds legislation requires that GM seed varieties have to be authorised in accordance with the provisions of the GMO legislation, namely Directive 2001/18/EC and Regulation (EC) No 1829/2003, before they are included in the Common Catalogue and marketed in the EU.
