Post-Market Monitoring

Monitoring reports

Article 20(1) of Directive 2001/18/EC states "Following the placing on the market of a GMO as or in a product, the notifier shall ensure that monitoring and reporting on it are carried out according to the conditions specified in the consent. The reports of this monitoring shall be submitted to the Commission and the competent authorities of the Member States."

Article 20(4) of Directive 2001/18/EC states "So as to ensure its transparency, the results of the monitoring carried out under part C of the Directive shall be made publicly available"

In order to fulfill the requirements of the Directive monitoring reports received by the Commission in respect of products placed on the market are published here below.
