The purpose of this project is to carry out an integral energy renovation project in districts as a regional strategy against climate change via energy saving and use of renewable resources (biomass) in a social district of Pamplona. MLEI EFIDISTRICT FWD is part of a new regional authority strategy aimed at energy renovation of the homes already built and use of biomass for heating and Hot Sanitary Water in both public and private buildings. The strategy would start being applied in the Pamplona district of Chantrea to be extended later to other Pamplona districts and towns of Navarre. The integral energy renovation of Chantrea district includes three components:- Creation of a New Thermal Grid supplied by biomass to supply the entire district comprising a new generation room and distribution grid to public and private buildings.- Renovation of existing District Heating with very old deficient installations via complementary works for implantation of control and regulation systems, and other renewable resources.- Integral energy renovation of district buildings, including thermal cladding, acting on homes built between the 1950 and 1980, presenting deficient construction systemsOne of the project pivots will be citizen participation and training, in particular the owners of the selected homes. The project presents great environmental, social and economic benefits; and aims to establish a restoration protocol extendable to residential districts with similar problems.
In this page:
