Household fridges, freezers and wine coolers placed on the EU market, should come with an energy label indicating their energy efficiency, with a scale from A+++ (most efficient) to G (least efficient), in two different labels.
The relevant Regulation (EU) 2010/1060 can be found here.
Each label will provide such important information as: the company that made or placed the product on the market, the model, its energy efficiency class, the annual energy consumption in kWh, the volumes in litres of chilled and/or of frozen compartments and the sound power level. For wine storage appliances, it shows the number of standard bottles of 75 centilitres that may be fitted in the appliance.
To fill these fields in, simply click on the chosen energy label below.
The printed label for a product sold in a shop has to have the minimum dimension 110 mm wide x 220 mm high. The label should be clearly visible and associated to each displayed product.
When on the Internet, be sure to use an energy label size allowing clear visibility and legibility. Templates for nested display arrows for Internet energy labels can be found here.
