In the Peat Colonies, an area in the North of the Netherlands, 65 innovative projects have been started up with the aim of maintaining a resilient and dynamic agricultural sector.
In December 2014, the innovation programme ‘Agriculture in the Peat Colonies 2012-2020’ presented the first results of these innovative projects. This programme was funded by national, regional and EU sources, and also received some private contributions. More than 250 farmers and farming experts are involved in these projects, dealing with diverse topics such as precision farming, IPM, protein crops, cattle breeding and many more.
This document (in Dutch) gives information on the December meeting and a detailed overview of the different projects that were initiated in 2013. The diversity of the topics forms a rich source of inspiration for further innovation or collaboration or for future Operational Groups.
