Horizon 2020 Thematic Network EUFRUIT came to an end in February 2019 after 3 years of work. One of the project's main goals was to create a knowledge platform about fruit cultivation, which is now open to all. It is a database of electronic documents related to productivity, sustainability and quality of fruit in the European fruit sector.
EUFRUIT aimed at recording the state of the knowledge within four thematic areas:
quality and storage
This knowledge was then exchanged among the partners and shared with farmers. To share this knowledge more broadly, the project team created the Knowledge Platform. The partners published articles, publications, presentations, flyers and other material, mostly in the original language but with a summary in English. For further information, the contact of the author is available next to each publication. The platform can be found here: http://kp.eufrin.eu/
In total, there are already over 1 000 items on the platform (access February 13, 2019) ready to be viewed, read, downloaded or researched.
The platform will remain available beyond the end of the project as it is embedded in the homepage of the network Eufrin (http://eufrin.eu/index.php?id=1). This network consists of research centres from Europe and beyond working on fruit cultivation. Many of the members of the Eufrin network were partners in the EUFRUIT-project and will continue to add information to the Knowledge Platform.
