Young farmers and professionals (under age of 40 years) will have the opportunity in the EU-China project to experience farming techniques and environmental practices in the farming sector in the EU and China.
During two two-week study visits in China November 2017 and June 2018 the participants will have the chance to exchange knowledge and learn from each other.
During the final conference in China end 2018 the results of the project will be disseminated to broader farming and rural audience and policy makers.

Young Farmers will have to meet the following criteria:
Under the age of 40 years
Good knowledge of English
Availability for 2 weeks in November 2017 or June 2018
High level of experience and interest in sustainable agriculture
EU Commissioner Phil Hogan and the Minister of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China Han Changfu signed a joint statement in Brussels on 21 April 2017 agreeing to establish an EU-China Project on Capacity Building for Young Professional Farmers and Agricultural Professionals.
