5-6 September 2016 sees the major European conference on rural development return to Cork, Republic of Ireland. Hosted by the EU Commissioner for Agriculture & Rural Development Phil Hogan, it takes place 20 years after the ground-breaking European Conference where the Cork Declaration on Rural Developmentwas signed.
Bringing together around 250 stakeholders to discuss current and future challenges of farming and rural areas, as well as potential policy responses, the conference will also feature the theme of how to target innovation to farmers' needs.
