Calling all entrepreneurs, SMEs, start-ups and researchers, the European Satellite Navigation Competition (ESNC) is looking for ground-breaking business ideas, services, or products addressing the commercial use of satellite navigation - including in the fields of agriculture and forestry.
This competition rewards innovative applications using satellite navigation with the potential to improve production, efficiency, profitability and to reduce environmental impact. Its annual search for new services, products, and business innovations in this sector is designed to encourage the use of satellite navigation in everyday life.
The competition has both regional and international prizes and it is divided into a number of application fields. One of these fields is ‘Agriculture and Forestry’. Former winners in this category include a targeted application system for crop protection chemicals and positioning systems for forests where GPS can be imprecise under a forest canopy. See more here.
Across the different application fields, the prize pool for the international competition is worth 1 million € and includes more than 25 categories such as: cash prizes, business incubation, coaching, patent consulting, prototype development, marketing support, publicity.
The competition is open to everyone until 30 June 2016. Find out how to apply at www.esnc.eu.
