The Netherlands Society for Grassland and Fodder Crops is pleased to welcome you to the 18th EGF Symposium that will be held from the 15th to the 17th of June, 2015, in Wageningen, the Netherlands.
Many countries are currently exploring the possibilities and constraints of scaling up and intensification of animal production systems. The issue of food security is asking for high output from agricultural systems. A major question is the extent to which societal demands, such as animal welfare and grazing, can be met in intensified production systems. Will further optimization of grassland management enhance profitability and reduce environmental pressure of farming systems?
You are warmly invited to submit abstracts to either one of the three subthemes of the Symposium:
Different high output dairy farming systems in Europe
Grassland and fodder crops in high output systems
High output and high (eco)efficiency
Papers that do not fit within one of these subthemes will not be accepted. Instructions for abstract submission can be found on the website. The deadline for submitting abstracts is 17 November 2014.
The focus of the Symposium is the European context.
