AAL Programme launches the 2nd Smart Ageing Prize to support older people to participate fully in social life

The second AAL Challenge Prize has been published on the 15th of November 2017. More information can be found on the AAL website as well as on the Challenge mini website.

The Smart Ageing Prize, focused on Digital inclusion in social life, will award the best idea making use of innovative digital technologies to engage older adults in social and stimulating activities, promoting an active and connected ageing.

The first deadline for applicants to submit a proposal idea is Friday 30 March 2018.

After the first selection, to be carried out by a set of assessors, 15 finalists will be invited for an Academy event in Brussels in May where they will pitch their idea in front of a pool of judges and experts. The event will be an occasion for these finalists to develop/improve the business idea behind, as well as the marketing and end users involvement strategy, through the support provided by external experts. The 15 finalists will have to submit a full application form after this event.

5 top finalists will be then selected by the judging pool and invited to participate in the 2018 AAL Forum, where the winners will be communicated.

Please see attached a press release. Feel free to disseminate it.

Thank you all for contributing to make the 2nd edition of the Challenge Prize a success!
