Bem Envelhecer Project is being developed since 2008. EAPN Portugal, with its regional network in Braga district, is the promoter. The project started with a partnership of 8 organisations, and now, in its third edition, involves more that 60 entities. During all the phases its developed an evaluation process in which is verified how is the impact of this project in elderly people (it's used some questionnaires of WHO) - evaluation of the ageing well (Bem envelhecer) impact. In this moment its being prepared a Manual with 3 main contents: explanation of active ageing concept; explanation of the project; activities forms. These activities will be good practices developed during the project that can be disseminated to other realities at national and local level. It's also importante to say that the elderly people involved are poor people and with low qualifications, so the importance of this project is quite high in terms of social dimension. Is also quite important all the networking that is in the base of all the activities. that are being developed. The project is auto-financed.
