Activity details

Caregivers of people with dementia are themselves at a high risk of experiencing physical and cognitive decline. We ran two focus groups for immigrant minority primary caregivers to learn more about their specific needs in order to make healthy lifestyle changes in order to prevent frailty. We planned a 12 session workshop including education on dementia, care giving skills, self care, and prevention of decline and motivation to make lifestyle changes. The intervention is culturally adapted to the population and disseminated in their language
