The main objective of the Action Group A2 is to reduce falls by ensuring that new technologies to monitor falls enter markets faster, connecting research to innovation and strengthening procurement processes. The Group also supports the set-up of regional programmes for early diagnosis and the prevention of falls.
The current Action Group brings together over 100 organizations representing 68 multi-stakeholder commitments from regional and national administrations, local authorities, research centers, academia, SMES and large industry, advocacy organizations from across the EU.
The commitments are measurable and concrete activities at local, regional or national level performed by stakeholders who commit themselves to promote innovative and concrete actions aimed at improving older people's health and quality of life.
