What are the European Universities Alliances?

The European Universities Alliances form part of the European Universities Initiative – groups of universities in the 33 Erasmus+ programme countries who share the common goals of promoting European values and identity and revolutionising the quality and competitiveness of European higher education.

The Alliances focus on making education better for students in Europe.

The European Universities Alliances offer student-centred curricula jointly delivered across inter-university campuses, where diverse student bodies can build their own programmes and experience mobility at all levels of study.

They enable students to obtain a degree by combining studies in several Member States, contributing to the international competitiveness of European universities.

What’s in it for students at European universities?

If you attend a university that is a part of this alliance, you will receive some of the best education and schooling in the world – combining both classic and modern pedagogical approaches.

Rather than being confined to a single campus, you have the opportunity to travel all over Europe and experience learning new languages and customs, as well as meeting new people who could help you form your own great alliances one day.

In addition to this, the focus on mobility and practical, challenge-based curricula means your education will revolve around the modern world and challenges we face today.

Studying at a European university and gaining specialised skills, international experience and knowledge of European languages puts you in high demand with employers.
