Università degli Studi Internazionali di Roma - UNINT and the Directorate-General for Translation of the European Commission are glad to present the Translating Europe Workshop titled "Artificial intelligence and translation technologies: what is the state of play?”, 15 January 2021, 9:00 - 4:30 p.m. (CET).
The aim of the workshop is to give an overview of the state-of-the-art on translation technologies. More specifically, the main themes are the role of neural MT and speech recognition technologies, not only in professional translation but as tools to promote linguistic inclusion and accessibility to information, culture and entertainment in an ever more globalised and multilingual society.
Workshop speakers include academics and researchers from Italian and foreign universities, as well as representatives of leading companies working in this field, in order to illustrate the current situation and to highlight where research on these topics is going.
The TEW working languages are English and Italian and a simultaneous interpreting service is provided. No registration required.
