The European Commission funds online collaborative platforms that bring education and training professionals together. The platforms are spaces where education and training professionals can share ideas and experiences, learn new approaches or techniques from their peers and discuss big challenges faced by their colleagues around Europe.
EPALE, or the Electronic Platform for Adult Learning in Europe, is a multilingual open membership community for teachers, trainers, researchers, academics, policy makers and anyone else with a professional role in adult learning across Europe.
EPALE was launched in 2015 and is Europe's biggest adult learning community.
eTwinning offers a platform for staff (teachers, head teachers, librarians, etc.), working in a school to communicate, collaborate, develop projects and share.
eTwinning is part of Erasmus+ and, as of 7 September 2016, there were 396961 teachers, 50596 projects and 163753 schools participating in the community.
School Education Gateway is Europe's online platform for school education. It brings together all parties active in school education and participating in the Erasmus+ Programme: teachers / schools, experts, other educational actors / organizations, policy makers, national authorities, NGOs, enterprises etc.
School Education Gateway went live in February 2015 and is available in 23 EU languages.
