The Brussels Economic Forum
The Brussels Economic Forum is the flagship annual economic event of the European Commission.
For over 20 years, the Brussels Economic Forum (BEF) has gathered high-level European and international policymakers, academics, civil society and business leaders to identify key upcoming challenges and debate policy priorities for the European economy.
Since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, the Brussels Economic Forum has taken place online, with a line-up of high-level speakers and a forward-looking programme that reflect the current momentous opportunities for Europe.
On 29 June 2021, after over a year of unprecedented measures for the people and the economy, speakers of the caliber of Ursula von der Leyen, Angela Merkel, Jacinda Ardern, Christine Lagarde and many more gathered at the Brussels Economic Forum to discuss how to build the new economy we want.
If you missed the event or if you want to replay the discussions, the recordings are available on the Videos section.
The Brussels Economic Forum is part of a broader initiative, the Conference on the Future of Europe, which enables people from across Europe to share their ideas and help shape our common future If you’re not already part of the Brussels Economic Forum community, sign up to the mailing list to receive the updates on the 2022 edition.
