The Brussels Economic Forum
The Brussels Economic Forum is the flagship annual economic event of the European Commission.
For the past 20 years the Brussels Economic Forum (BEF) has pledged to bring forward new perspectives and stimulate the debate around Europe's economic challenges and policy priorities.
The 2020 special 20th anniversary edition was held entirely in digital format. The live broadcast from the European Commission’s TV studios in Brussels reached a record number of viewers (more than 25.000) and online interaction.
The programme focused on Restarting the EU economy after Coronavirus. High-level European and international policymakers, opinion leaders, influential academics and civil society and business leaders came together virtually from across Europe to reflect on the unprecedented economic and social challenges that we are facing.
We had very inspiring discussions on:
- The new European economy after Coronavirus
- The role for the State in the economy
- A social and green reboot after the pandemic
