CEBS announces results of EU-wide stress tests

23.07.2010 - The CEBS has published the results of the banking stress-tests, involving 91 banks

The Committee of European Banking Supervisors (CEBS) advises the European Commission on policy and regulatory issues related to banking supervision. In December 2009, it was given a mandate by ECOFIN, later extended by the EU Council in June 2010, to co-ordinate a second EU-wide round of stress tests on the banking system, involving 91 banks. Publication of the results was co-ordinated by the CEBS, the national supervisory authorities, the European Central Bank and the European Commission. Details of  results for all banks involved were published on 23 July 2010 and can be found on the CEBS website.
