In 2019, 6.6 million people were living in extreme poverty in Zimbabwe – double the number from 2011.
With EU humanitarian funding, 'Action against hunger/Action contre la faim' provides cash transfers to 2,600 vulnerable households. This allows them to not only acquire the necessary food and non-food items, but also start income-generating projects.
Our funding has also supported awareness actions on hygiene, COVID-19 protection, and screening of malnourished children.
