Cambodia is one of the most vulnerable countries to climate change. Extreme floods and droughts affect millions of people and country’s agriculture; in Cambodia, 70% of the total population are farmers.
Thanks to EU Humanitarian Aid and People in Need, the “1294” early warning system will be available countrywide in 2020. In addition, a new digital application “Smart Farming” helps the farmers to adapt; not only does it provide weather warnings, it also advises on farming practices.
Every year, EU Humanitarian Aid supports projects that make communities safer around the world.
