Our staff, Our agency
The EASME currently employs more than 400 staff members and will continue growing to reach 500 by 2020. Our highly qualified and motivated professionals are experts in their respective fields and are actively contributing to the Agency's success. We currently employ people from 27 EU Member States making EASME a culturally diverse and interesting place to work.
The EASME's headquarters is in Brussels and its staff consists of Temporary Agents (TA), Contract Agents (CA), Seconded Officials from the European Commission, Trainees and Interim Staff.

Applying for a job at EASME
Temporary and contract agents posts
The EASME conducts its own recruitment and selection procedures, which are independent from other EU institutions or other EU agencies. The EASME does not consider spontaneous applications.
EASME can only hire contract agents (CA) who have successfully passed an EPSO selection and competence tests valid for Executive Agencies (CAST25 – CAST27 – CAST Secretary 2008 – CAST 2010 competency-tested candidates – CAST RELEX – CAST Research S/5/2013 - CAST/P/1-4/2015, CAST/P1- 17/2017).
Please note that the fact to complete and validate the online application form of the Call for Expressions of Interest (EPSO/CAST/P1-17/2017) launched by EPSO on 05/01/2017 does not mean that the candidate has automatically applied for published positions in EASME.
The Staff Regulations and the CEOS as well as the specific decisions of the Agency's Steering Committee apply to Temporary and Contract Staff:

- Implementing Rules for Contract Staff (CA) and
- Commission Decision on conditions of of employment (CA)

Blue Book traineeship
The Agency offers traineeship opportunities, as part of the European Commission scheme for trainees. There are two sessions per year, starting in March and October.

EASME may hire interim agents to compensate for medium-term absences or to face peaks in workload, among other reasons.
