Call for expression of interest for the establishment of a list of experts to assist the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (EASME) in relation to direct management actions under the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF).
The objective of this call for expression of interest is to set up a list of external experts to support evaluation and monitoring activities of actions implemented by EASME under the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF) (2014-2020).
Re-registration for experts
The following guidelines apply only for experts previously registered in the EMFF database (EU Survey). The current call for expression of interest for the establishment of a list of experts launched in the past on the EU Survey platform is now closed. Instead, we have launched a new call for expression of interest for experts on the European Commission’s Funding & tender opportunities Portal expert database. The experts who have previously expressed interest in EMFF calls and want to remain to be considered for the future ones, are requested to re-register under the Funding & tender opportunities Portal (earlier Participant Portal).

Already registed experts
Experts who already registered in the Commission database are invited to access My Expert Area website, and verify if under European Commission, Executive and Regulatory Agencies, Joint Undertakings (and related programmes) the EMFF is ticked among the list of programmes (tab My profile/'Who sees my profile') and update their area of expertise.
The call for expression of interest is permanently open (there is no deadline) under the current EMFF Regulation (2014-2020).
However, we encouraged early registration since the first experts are likely to be appointed in the first quarter of 2019 for the evaluation of the Blue Economy Call 2018.
For the above and future calls, we will select its experts from the newly created database. If needed and duly justified, we may exceptionally also select experts outside the database.
Experts will be selected on the basis of the technical skills, experience, knowledge and language skills needed and in accordance with the principles of non-discrimination, equal treatment and absence of conflict of interests.
In addition, we will seek a balanced composition within the expert groups in terms of various skills, experience, knowledge, geographical diversity and gender.
Registration in the database does not automatically mean that you will be selected for task assignments.
Selected experts may be managed via the Funding & tender opportunities Portal. By registering, you agree to accept to use the electronic exchange system in accordance with the Funding & tender opportunities Portal Terms & Conditions.
All sections of the registration form must be completed (and be kept up-to-date regularly) in order to be selected and contracted. Areas of expertise and professional experience must be adequately detailed and documented.
Personal data collected in the context of this call will be processed in accordance with Regulation No 45/2001 . For more information about the protection of the personal data of the applicants, please refer to the privacy statement available in the online application form.
You will be required to agree to a code of conduct (including confidentiality aspects) and to confirm that there is no conflict of interest for each assignment.
