    Phase 2 availabiliy

Hi. Do you have any idea on approximately how many projects will be funded? And how many will be funded per topic? The chance of success in Phase 2 seems to be diminishing significantly.

    Hi Bernd, Chance of success

Hi Bernd, Chance of success should remain the same as previous cut-offs, as the budget is equally divided between them.

Chance of success

Hi Jasaikr, thanks for your reply. But the chance of success is lowering as the number of projects submitted per cut off is increasing exponentially. For example, in February 553 proposals were submitted, in April 969, in June 1189, and now in October 1376.

    Incorrect statistics

The Phase2 success rate has dropped to 3-4%. It hasn't been 6% for a while. In some topics, the success rate is below 2%.

Why the statistics don't show Moldova? I personally applied for the 13 October deadline and it should be at least 1 application from this country....

But is Moldova eligible for funding? Could you clarify the funding situation of countries that are neither Member States nor Associated Countries?

Dear Jenny, Moldova is one of the Horizon 2020 associated countries.

    Hi,
When will the phase 2 October applicants be informed about the result? Last time the result was there within 2 months, can we expect that this time as well?

    Best wishes.

    Hi,

Is it true that winners will be informed a week earlier about the results of their proposals (not via an official letter but via a request to update their company information in the participants portal)?

    Best wishes

    October cut-off results

Today I received the results. It was very surprising to see that after three seals of excellence with two of my previous submissions having received a score around 14.00 out of 15.00, I improved the proposal according to the previous ESRs and I got today 10.00 out of 15.00.... Very disappointing, I don't really see a reason to continue applying in this instrument, it starts to seem like a lottery to me..

    Phase 1 to phase 2

    Hi,
I have a question: if a project passed phase 1, what are his chances to pass phase 2?

  • storejo | Mon, 09/04/2018 - 10:05
    Dear Amir, applications for

Dear Amir, applications for the two phases are not connected and evaluators for Phase 2 evaluate all proposals equally, meaning that they don't take into account whether projects have previously gone through Phase 1 or not. However statistically the success rate is higher for companies having completed Phase 1. For details I invite you to have a look at the SME Instrument Report from 2017 (page 14-15) : https://ec.europa.eu/easme/sites/easme-site/files/accelerating_innovatio...
