The SME Instrument business acceleration services kick-off with the first matchmaking event with investors. The very first event is a Venture Loungfe organised with Merck and is dedicated to life sciences and med tech. 12 SME Instrument companies are pitching - stay tuned for the results!
In addition to the SME Instrument grant, we offer the companies we fund business acceleration services that aim to support them on their growth path. The services include coaching, training, partnerships with corporates and matchmaking with investors.
The first ever matchmaking event we propose to the companies we fund is a Venture Lounge specialised in life sciences and medical technologies today 18 October 2017 in Darmstadt. The event will gather investors, corporates, consultants and other small businesses from the life sciences and med tech sector.
Twelve SME Instrument-funded companies will have the opportunity this afternoon to present their business cases to the investors attending. The investors that are invited will select a limited number of companies they want to hear about. Presentations will last for eight minutes, followed by a short question and answer session. Following the presentations, participants will have the chance to engage in informal conversations.
In addition to presentations, the event will offer a full afternoon of networking opportunities, top keynote speeches and panel discussions with investors and corporates.
The event is co-hosted by Merck who will host the event in the Merck Innovation Centre in Darmstadt. The event lasts from 15:00 to 19:00 and after the official business ends participants are invited to continue exchanging thoughts around a networking cocktail.
