EASME will be leading three sessions at the EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) in Brussels in June, one focusing on decarbonisation, another on the role of SMEs and a third one on the role of consumers in the transition to clean energy.

New ways of empowering consumers for the energy transition

Tuesday 20 June 16.00 - 17.30

This session illustrates how innovative tools i.e. new ICT solutions, and digital tools, offer solutions to help consumers participate and drive forward the energy transition such as helping them purchase the highest energy efficient appliances on the market or adopt net-zero energy refurbishment solutions.  The panel is complemented by the European consumer organisation, representing the voice of consumers.

How economic and social actors can champion CO2 phase-out

Thursday 22 June 11.00 - 12.30

A keynote speech from the Horizon 2020 Commission Expert Group – High-level Panel of the European Decarbonisation Pathways Initiative (EDPI) will open the session featuring contributions from three EU-funded research projects, followed by a panel discussion.

SMEs and entrepreneurs as drivers towards clean energy

Tuesday 20 June 16.00 - 17.30

This session focuses on small and medium-sized companies as key contributors in the transition towards a European Energy Union and offers practical support explaining existing funding and support schemes for SMEs and future market niches and opportunities for small entrepreneurs.
