The European Commission invites European green businesses to join a circular economy delegation to South Africa on 2-5 May 2017.

The delegation will be led by Daniel Calleja, the European Commission's Director-General for the Environment.

A series of matchmaking meetings with South African entrepreneurs will give EU green business, and in particular small and medium-sized companies, the chance to explore business partnerships in the following areas:

  • Circular economy,
  • Resource efficiency and sustainable use of natural resources,
  • Eco-innovation,
  • Chemicals,
  • Water management,
  • Waste management, and
  • Energy saving.

The trip will kick off on 2 and 3 May in Johannesburg and Pretoria where the delegation will meet with South Africa's key circular economy leaders and political representatives. On 4 and 5 May, delegates will participate in events organized as part of the World Economic Forum on Africa in Durban.

If you'd like to join the delegation, please register in advance. Participation is free of charge; travel arrangements and accommodation costs are under the responsibility of each participant.
