On 12 March the 2019 call for proposals for the energy efficiency topics of the Horizon 2020 EU funding programme was launched. There is €112 million available in total; around €26 million - to support investment in sustainable energy under four topics of the call.
What you need to know about each of the four topics:
EUR 10 million are available to create, expand or replicate “one-stop-shops” and cover the whole “customer journey” of home renovation. Applications from one single entity are eligible. For this new topic, we invite you to watch the dedicated webinar for potential applicants, as well as the SEI Forums webinars on Home renovation: The User Perspective and Financing Home Renovation.
EUR 6 million are available to develop technical assistance and build the technical, economic and legal expertise needed to develop sizable projects. In this case as well, applications from one single entity are eligible.
This topic is similar to the ELENA facility, with a focus on investments between EUR 7.5 and 50 million. To know more about it, we invite you to watch the SEI Forum’s Webinar on Renovation of Public Buildings.
EUR 4 million are available to develop or replicate innovative financing schemes for energy efficiency investments. Many of the presentations held in SEI Forums events, presenting best practices and innovations around Europe, are relevant to this topic.
EUR 6 million are available to support mainstreaming of energy efficiency finance. As examples of supported initiatives under this topic, we invite you to watch the webinar on Deployment of Energy Efficient Mortgages and The role of Standardisation & Benchmarking.
