On 16th May in Barcelona, the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME) is organising a public workshop on digital construction skills.

This event takes place in the frame of CONSTRUMAT 2019, a reference trade fair in the international construction industry, focussing on digitalisation, technological innovation and new construction techniques.

How can we equip building professionals with the digital skills needed to support the energy transition of the EU building stock?

How can we ensure that training and qualification programmes for building professionals embrace emerging technologies that can act as real game-changers, e.g. Internet-of-Things (IoT), 3-D scanning and printing, virtual reality, robotics, smart materials and appliances or Building Information Modelling (BIM)?

What have been recent success stories in training building professionals towards sustainable energy?

These are only some of the questions that will be addressed in the workshop, with participation from the European Commission, building industry representatives, education & training experts as well as EU-funded projects.
