The European Commission has received 630 proposals for projects in the areas of climate action, environment, resource efficiency and raw materials by the call deadline on 19 February 2019.
All in all, a budget of about € 375,6 million is available in 2019 for the Societal Challenge "Climate action, environment, resource efficiency and raw materials" of Horizon 2020.
In March and April, independent expert panels are evaluating the proposals, selecting the best ones for funding. The Commission will then inform all applicants – within five months of the call deadline – whether or not their proposal has been successful.
Applicants who answered to a two-stage call will be informed in June of the outcome of the remote review: those invited to submit a full proposal will have to do so by 4 September 2019.
In addition to the above, 7 project proposals have been submitted under the calls SC5-21 and SC5-22 (policy feedback and ERA-NET cofund).
