The European Commission has selected 45 projects that will receive around €356 million under Horizon 2020's Societal Challenge "Climate action, environment, resource efficiency and raw materials".
44 projects were chosen among 138 proposals which were submitted by 4 September 2019 for the two-stage 2019 calls - Greening the economy in line with the Sustainable Development Goals and Building a low-carbon, climate resilient future: climate action in support of the Paris Agreement.
Grant agreements are now being prepared for signature so that the new projects are ready to be launched as of June 2020.
In addition, 1 nature-based solution project will receive €2 million. It was selected among 4 proposals that were submitted by the deadline of 4 September 2019 for the Horizon 2020 Societal Challenge 5 one-stage call - Greening the economy in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.
