Horizon 2020 Energy Efficiency provides support for innovation through research and demonstration of more energy-efficient technologies and solutions; and market uptake measures to remove market and governance barriers by addressing financing, regulations and the improvement of skills and knowledge.

    Financing Energy Efficiency: what you need to know

    On 12 March the 2019 call for proposals for the energy efficiency topics of the Horizon 2020 EU funding programme was launched. There is €112 million available in total; aroud €26 million - to support investment in sustainable energy under four topics of the call.

    Horizon 2020 projects are helping consumers choose more energy efficient appliances

    Co-funded by the EU Horizon 2020 programme, the Digi-Label project has developed a special tool – PocketWatt – to compare both the energy efficiency and running cost of different products directly on your smartphone or tablet.
