The EU Industry Days is an annual two-day event aimed to foster discussion and exchange between policy makers, industry and society and to create an open dialogue on industrial competitiveness in Europe.
European industry is a pillar of the economic life of the continent, as it creates jobs and development opportunities. For this reason, EU industrial policy builds on dialogue and partnership between the Commission and key stakeholders.
The 2019 edition of the EU Industry Days will take place on 5-6 February 2019, and will be dedicated to global trends shaping the future of industry. Around 1500 participants from Europe and beyond will gather in Brussels to discuss topics such as sustainable finance, decarbonisation, trade, digitalisation and artificial intelligence.
In particular, an exhibition area will be set up to showcase innovative ideas. A total of 32 projects will be hosted, covering six thematic areas (industrial materials, energy, robotics, factories of the future, skills and fashion industry) and funded under the EU programmes COSME, H2020, Erasmus+, LIFE, European Innovation Council Pilot and the European Regional Development Fund.
