Going Local brings the European Commission's representatives to the UK to communicate on the Digital Single Market Strategy in the local context. Information on UK events will be updated here.

On 22-23 June 2015 Robert Madelin, Director-General of DG Connect, Jonathan Faull,  Director-General of DG Fisma, David Ringrose, Director of DG Connect and other senior officials attended a series of events to discuss the opportunites and benefits a DSM can provide UK and EU citizens, businesses, and public services.


Going Local gives participants the opportunity to have a say in the development of the European Digital Single Market (DSM) strategy and for us to get a better understanding of national and local digital realities. In 2013, Going Local aimed at raising awareness of the Digital Agenda for Europe. Following positive feedback on the past rounds, events focusing on the DSM Strategy are in progress for this year

Senior European Commission staff members organise the Going Local events together with the Commission Representation in your country. Sometimes Commissioners working with aspects of the Digital Single Market are also involved.
