The Safer Internet Forum gives young people the opportunity to express how they see the internet and new technologies, what they mean for them and what's the influence in their lives. The audience of the forum is parents and teachers representatives, industry, law enforcement authorities, child welfare organizations, y representativesresearchers and policy makers.
The 2012 edition of the Safer Internet Forum was organised in October, in Brussels, with the support of Insafe-INHOPE networks. More than 300 participants attended, including young people, their parents and teachers. In line with the European Commission’s strategy, this year’s Safer Internet Forum was entitled ‘Creating together a better internet for children and young people’.
