Who hasn’t had that experience of knowing they’re perfect for a job with all the right qualifications but not even being able to get an interview? It can be disheartening.

Standing out from the crowd on a competitive jobs market is no easy task, especially when every CV seems to look the same. Enter Tyba, a professional online network created by the young for the young that is changing the way companies recruit new talent.

With Tyba, young job hunters can bring their CVs to life by transforming their skills, experiences, interests and intangible assets such as personality into a visual showcase that gives recruiters a better glimpse of the real person behind the CV.  More than 700 companies throughout Europe have already put their faith in the platform to find their next team member.

Jorge Schnura, Tyba’s 23-year old co-founder, encourages others to become their own boss when they’re young if they have an original idea: “There are a lot of opportunities to get funding in Spain and costs are lower than in other European countries. If you have a good idea, there is no better time to take a leap”.

Tyba secured funding and mentoring from Enisa and ICEX and has applied to the Eurostars programme for additional funding. Two years after its creation, the startup has a team of 21 professionals from 12 different nationalities. A truly European success story.
