The event is a continuation of the dialog between energy utilities and telecommunication companies. During last year’s workshop challenges were identified and called for further discussions on how telecommunication companies can meet the special requirements of the utility industry in creating the smart energy infrastructure and the need for communications to be defined as mission critical.
The research project eBADGE which is funded under the EU FP7 programme will present its approach in developing an optimal pan-European Intelligent balancing mechanism able to integrate Virtual Power Plant Systems, and piloted on the borders of Austria, Italy and Slovenia.
The morning session will be moderated by Mr Miguel Angel Sanchez Fornié, Chairman of the EUTC Board of Directors.
The afternoon session will be moderated by Mr Paul Timmers, Director of Directorate H, Sustainable & Secure Society, at DG CONNECT.
