The Himss Amsterdam 2013 conference (31/10-1/11/2013) will compare the Dutch eHealth system with that of the rest of the world.
The conference opens up three key themes critical to the success of healthcare: Adoption, Change Management and Interoperability. The event wants to take global best practice and benchmark it against the state of healthcare in the Netherlands.
"For the first time ever, the true state of eHealth adoption in the Netherlands has been revealed — and the results are surprising", says Himss, an organisation to promote Health IT. "In a study of 52 Dutch acute care hospitals over half have established the fundamentals of EMR through a clinical data repository, yet only 34% have full PACS, CPOE and nursing documentation. Compared to the rest of Europe, the Netherlands is in the top tier, but Health IT adoption is just the first of many challenges."
Leading healthcare organizations will present in a conference where global and regional thought leadership is combined.
