Vrouwen Aan Het Werk

Rosanna Nazir is the chairwoman of the foundation “Vrouwen Aan Het Werk” (VAHW = Women at work).  VAHW is developing programs for a sustainable society. The education programs mainly aim to educate and to empower unemployed women, youth and immigrants. She has also developed volunteer’s projects, such as the World Smart College (WSC) and IT4WorldKids. The project WSC is committed to seeking talented unemployed citizens to grow their chances on the labor market by offering a solid IT education program.

The first World Smart College, was a big success all attendees (33) have found an internship or a job, most of them in the IT world.  IT4WorldKids is a project to create IT awareness and to embed IT in the curriculum of the primary schools in Surinam and in the Netherlands.

Rosanna is also working for IBM as a Software Professional Skill Development Program Manager and is a training specialist. She has worked for other big IT companies such as: Cisco, Intellinex (which was an e-Learning company and a subsidiary of Ernst & Young). She is getting her competence for Cultural Social Education at the University Of Applied Science Of Amsterdam.
